AC + ELEMENT HOTEL | RIVERVIEW TOWERS
This project sits across from the San Antonio’s Main Plaza and steps away from the Riverwalk. The adaptive reuse of the River View Tower converted an office building into a mixed-use property. The project includes a dual-branded AC Hotel by Marriott (181 keys) + Element Hotel (162 keys), 7 floors of tenant office space, and a rooftop bar.
Campo provided Architecture and Interior Design services for the project. The AC lobby has double-height ceilings and it is anchored by the grand bar. The full-service bar is flanked by four prominent columns with a custom lighting display above. This impressive bar can be seen through soaring windows that wrap the prominent corner. The interior design for the space is fully custom and focuses on light neutrals mixed with contemporary finishes and warm wood tones. The design pays homage to its proximity to the Texas Hill Country and its location just steps away from the San Antonio River Walk. Architectural details and custom selection of furniture allows this lobby to transition effortlessly from breakfast service through happy hour and late-night revelry.
The Element Hotel is immediately adjacent to the AC and features a more customized version of the Element brand standard experience. The Element brand focuses on earthiness, sustainability, and healthy living. These guiding forces inspire the interior design, which utilizes light and bright finishes, rich textures, interior plantings, and a calming muted color palette. The first floor serves as a jump lobby, while the second-floor houses breakfast and lounge, a large full-service fitness center, and two meeting rooms with pre-function space.
One Watson rooftop bar sits on the 15th floor offering extraordinary views of the Riverwalk. Campo Interior Designers worked hand in hand with the lifestyle design firm, Ellis Adams, to create an all-encompassing uniquely branded rooftop bar experience. The design focuses on industrial forms and finishes, dark mood lighting, and one of a kind artistic details, all tied together with eclectic Texas flair.
