JW MARRIOTT SAVANNAH PLANT RIVERSIDE DISTRICT POWER PLANT HOTEL

The historic Riverside Power Plant is the centerpiece of Savannah’s new Plant Riverside entertainment district. The project focused on the preservation and adaptive re-use of the existing power plant structure, including both the original 1912 masonry structure and the 1940s addition. The Power Plant has been converted into a JW Marriott and the program includes hotel rooms, meeting rooms and event spaces with a number of food & beverage and retail uses. Campo worked closely with the Kessler Collection team to revise Georgia’s Historic Tax Credit legislation for a more favorable incentive that benefits Real Estate Owners and Developers who preserve our nation’s historic treasures.
