This quarter, the team at Campo has continued to achieve new heights. Campo proudly received numerous awards for Interior Design, Architecture, and Historic Rehabilitation. Team members shared their perspectives through multiple speaking engagements and participation in industry conferences. The firm also led community-driven activities, participated in social events, and welcomed several new team members. We look forward to ending the year on a high note by continuing to deliver excellent design to our clients.

Completed | Downtown Strategic Plan Phase 2
Monroe, LA
On September 17th, Campo and the City of Monroe cohosted the Rollin’ On The River Block Party. The successful event featured food trucks, live music, and interactive games that encouraged community feedback on the Downtown Area and Riverfront development. Phase 2 of the Downtown Monroe Strategic Plan placed a strong emphasis on community engagement to identify goals, priorities, and urban design initiatives.

Mary Gilmore Featured in 7th U.S. USGBC Louisiana Forward Symposium
On Monday, October 17th, Director of Interior Design/Partner Mary Gilmore presented a case study on the Kinley Cincinnati Downtown to the 7th Annual USGBC Louisiana Forward Symposium. The presentation focused on the sustainable benefits of an adaptive re-use project and design challenges that were overcome during the historic renovation of a vacant commercial property into a boutique hotel. Campo served as the Architect of Record and Historic Tax Credit Consultant for this award-winning LEED Silver project.

Miriam was invited by Cody C. Caudill, Team Leader and CEO of Keller Williams New Orleans, to speak to brokers at their October monthly meeting, where she highlighted hospitality trends in the New Orleans market.

Senior Architect Janina Scalfano was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for The Green Project, a local non-profit organization that focuses on promoting a culture of creative reuse by diverting usable materials from landfills and cultivating respect for their value.
